Upon Arrival

Come as you are!

Whether it's a Sunday morning or a Wednesday evening, you’ll be greeted upon arrival by church members to welcome you and answer any questions. Come dressed as you are comfortable, and when you are ready, join us for fellowship, refreshments and Sunday school, both adult and children/youth. Nursery care with trained, paid staff is provided for infants through age 3. We encourage all to worship with us, including the young children.  There are worship packets in the back of the sanctuary with items to help your child engage more during worship.  Feel free to join us in any church activity. Members of the Guidance Sunday school class enjoy a light breakfast prior to their lesson and then gathering for worship.

Accessibility

Accessible buildings.  Personal hearing devices, large print bulletins, Bibles and hymnals, and Children’s Activity Packets are available from the ushers. Nursery provided.

Nursery care

Our goal in the nursery is to care for our wee ones in a safe, comfortable environment, and at the appropriate ages begin to introduce them to a bit of structure — Bible stories, coloring pages, and enjoying snack time. Their transition to Sunday school at age 3 is made easier after they've heard a little about Jesus and learned to spend some time in quiet activities. We are pleased to offer members and visitors alike a safe, enjoyable and constructive nursery experience for their children.

Our church and Sunday school building is located at 100 N. Pleasant St., Independence, MO 64050. Westminster Hall is across the intersection from the church at 417 W. Lexington Ave. Use the map below for directions.
