Inter-Generational Mid-Week Ministry

LOGOS is about Building Relationships

LOGOS is one of the ways our church celebrates young people and their relationship with God while establishing Christian relationships across the generations.

To create understanding and desire in young people for accepting Christ as Lord and Savior;
To develop intelligent, active, loyal membership and leadership in the church;
To give worthwhile study, wholesome recreation, and opportunities for service, all bound up in a true Christian fellowship;
To develop the kind of Christians who are able and willing to communicate their faith and assume personal responsibility in helping to build God’s kingdom on earth.

Wednesday evenings

LOGOS meets Wednesdays, October - April, from 5:30-7:30pm in Westminster Hall.
Across the street from the main church building at 417 West Lexington Street.

LOGOS Activities

Recreation

Upon arrival, everyone is divided into your table families and you will have a task to do. Sometimes it's helping to cook dinner, setting the table, playing a game, doing a craft, etc.

Choir/Worship Skills

Preparation for and participation in the worship life of the congregation. From singing to bell choir and theater, these skills are utilized in FPC’s Sunday worship services. Every LOGOS participant is encouraged to attend each Sunday, especially on those occasions when their LOGOS age group is sharing in worship.

Bible Study

The Bible is the heart of the LOGOS program to nurture our children and young people into intelligent, responsive discipleship. This year, we are concentrating on FAMILY. Our BIBLE STUDY groups will look different each week. Some weeks you will be with your table family, others your grade (nursery - adult) and there will be times when we stay as a group.

Dinner

Everyone is assigned a table family that they eat with family style all year. Each table has 2 table parents that help to encourage good table manners. Following dinner, we do a quick game as a table family.
